2026 Growing season winding down. 8 September daylight crossed into the 12 hour threshold. Chance of frost last week of September.
2026 Vegetable garden. Although our summer was extremely hot the garden did well. We did two major picks and put away tomato sauce and roasted Anaheim chilies to last through next year's growing season. Mid-August wildfire smoke from the north and west turned the sky from blue to beige. Everyone's garden stopped producing. When it cleared plants started flowering. We choose to end the vegetable season this week and got one final pick.
The Greenhouse Update
Shade cloth removed now that daylight crossed into the 12s. Shade cloth worked well early flowering.
Frost Proofing and space heaters installed. Ready for the Autumnal Solstice!!
One plant - One branch - 10 flowers, dusted with manao pollen. About 8 weeks until maturity.
BB3A - 2 plants - 1 branch each dusted with the male BB3A. Advance strain to F3 (generational).
I always love this updates
Crossed into Fall (autumn) season this week. Plants moved into flower. May not be able to survive the frost any time last week of September, first full week October. If they make it through October I could harvest.
Indoor now 5th week of flower. Smelling like weed and starting to get sticky.
Photo Dump:
This breeding finally found its niche. Indoor this strain produces dwarfs. Flowers are getting fat. Living up to its Bruce Banner #3 mother fat and still not done. Starting to frost and becoming sticky. They really glisten in the morning after 50ºF nights. One of the photos of seeds from the Manao dust

Merle - Big City
Got cold on 09 27 & 09 28 Outdoor plants survived. These plants will be given a 5-gallon mix of P, K & Cal-Mag next feed day. This will be the first real feeding for them.
Conifer bug. This one is looking for overwinter place. Does nothing, just annoying
Hung around for a couple days. I think it was hunting. Nothing to see, moved on!
Greenhouse - Chose to stop pinching fans, not to defoliate and no heaters at night. The plants are still putting out white pistils. Colder night should hinder growth and help them ripen during October. October starts seventh week of flower.
BB3A x Manao cross
Finally! Today marks the start of Fall (Senescence for the scientists) in the greenhouse.
Feeding until the end! (1st time feeding like this)
The sungrow plants represent strain phenos (light/dark). Flowers are heavy pistils and either fat/dense or slightly wispy. Today both plants get first feed 5-gallon mix P, K, Cal-Mag
