My first tent and the story of my grow career

Sooo i've been holding off this for a while

My first tent and my first LED grow as well

I've built many growrooms over the years, everything from small boxes to wardrobes, attics, basements, full bedroom grow and a barn or basement where the shit from animals go:sweat_smile: dung cellar i think it's called and that actually turned out to be the best of all the rooms with over 50cm thick cement walls it was increadibly temp and humidity stable

I was only 20 at the time and had moved to our family farm to take care of my grandfather who'd gotten to old to stay alone. Its located in a inland valley with very cold winters under minus 40C

Anyway i've just gotten busted my first time and needed a place to get away, so we both needed someone

Got busted with two landrace sativas in my wardrobe with a HPMV light(high pressure mercury vapour) the majority of the plants was outside so i put them in my car and took the half hour drive to the farm

The car was absolutely stuffed with too big plants, the windows was totally green:joy:

Arriving at the farm i spoke with my grandfather and he allowed me to keep the plants, he got in my car and we drove to a safe location close to a river where i could hide them. I'll never forget that drive, it was magical true movie material

Later in the autumn he also allowed me to make a growroom under the barn and that was the start of 5 years with total bliss, untill i got busted again :joy:

Back to now my tent here in Thailand is growroom nr 14 or 15 i lost track somewhere

Growing in Thailand have humbled me back to my early days of growing, gradually learning the outdoors and now a indoor tent

It was originally ment for clones and mothers but somehow it evolved to

This

Today:

I had one of the biggest mishapps with this grow and def the one that has teached me the most by far

I'll share more of what happened and how i fixed it later

Enjoy this wonderful music :ganjalove:

The living soil i started with was perfect bought from vattasoil on IG. The plants grew very healthy until i messed it up with my own made topdress and @Prempavee gonna love what i'll tell you next, i listened to AI :exploding_head::joy:

I was giving only 3 liters everytime i watered but AI was clear about topdress 4 liters wermicompost with a bunch of powders and 6 liter of water

I made 3 big mistakes this round

1: i gave to small amount of water so i most likely had a big dry pocket in the bottom of pot

2: i gave way too much water when i topdressed and the 4 liter topdress was on the heavy side

3: i used water soluble kelp meal instead of raw so they got many double times of recomended dose

The aftermath was devastating and the pot stayed soaked for two weeks, giving the worst lockout i have experienced

Main symptoms was overwatering and the iron lockout with pale new growth a week later completely yellow tops with twisted small leaves so zinc and probably most micros got blocked in the root zone

They also showed sign of starting root rot

The fix: now for this i had to twist my brain hard and read a lot

1: i removed all the mulch and poked holes deep into the soil

2: i put some stick under the pot to increase airflow and further help with drying back the pot

3: when the soil finally after ower two weeks was dry enough i watered with a mild dose humic/fulvic acid as it helps chelate the micros to become avaliable again

4: Foliar Feeding, this one i should've done from beginning

I foliar feed them with wermicompost tea every 2-3 days, i also added a bit humic/fulvic to it

Week after i also gave foliar with LAB

It took 5-6 weeks of babying em before they came back and this have been the greates knowledge enhancer in my over 20 years of growing

Before when i used bottled nutes i would just flush or even just remove some roots and start over but that is not an option in living soil as a flush would kill a lot of the life that supports this system

Here are some pics from when they started recovering

I didn't take pics when they were at the worst bc i thought they would die anyway(regret)

A week before this pic they were completely white tops all over with no sign of growth or drinking water

As they got better you can see the new growth is getting greener

The plants need time, no big amounts of anything, slowly increase waterings or inputs, slowly change lights or temps

I was a bit busy and chose the easy way with AI

From now on AI only means artificial insemination :joy:

I’ve noticed so far for me less is more  nice to see it bounced back! I was overusing LABS in soil early and caused some issues but they survive. Also Ai just pulls the first thing from whatever word triggered it, you can ask it again are you sure?? And it’s like oops I was wrong! Haha. I try to only use it for measuring or converting things. I was/am using humic in every watering! Even a tiny dash, it helps neutralize any chemicals in water left even after using C85 filter on hose.

 use AI for growing tips , the machine don't know, AI has never being a grower

Word  i can surely say more got me less :joy:

555 i think it put all the recipes it could find together in a big mix :face_with_peeking_eye:

It can be used for finding info online but it absolutely can't grow ganja :no_one_under_eighteen: should have a forbidden sign like this but for AI :joy::+1:

I think that AI can be used for some specific tasks related to the common world but when it comes to find information is not very riable.

They tried to sell this idea that AI is a sort of indipendend brain that knows everything.

Reality is far from that. AI is a program programmed with the specific intentions of who programmed. So when it comes to fresh informations is nothing more of a censorship tool. To find informations you need to use Dictionaries index , open forums , book library index that are not filtered by the big eye. You can't find many usefull things with their tools , the appositely designed them to keep the masses ignorant. Anyway aware of that we can use it sometimes. Also we cannot forgot that the last century was strong censorship on regards of ganja and was even forbidden to be studied on Universities so we are at one point today where even the more experts of the sector them don't know much. About grow, only other growers them can say something because of direct experience. Anyway variable are many and is not easy to have fix rules in agriculture and even more in organic agriculture

Yeah i fear you're right

It could be a good tool but it's pre set to tell what they want

It's not the all seeing eye of GOD, it's the eye of AI and dark people

No wonder they wanted to hide the 40 data centers in Bangkok:shushing_face:

End of week 5

Went through another lockout, as soon as they get normal waterings they lock up so i have to limit the amount of water and that of course will limit the yield a lot.

I decided to pollinate them with my early squirrels tail lime male

The Blue Dream has one sativa pheno and one indica, they both smell like amazing like pure candy. Tha sativa has some sweet cheese like smell as well, im guessing from the Haze heritage. Exited to see if they carry this all the way to the jar, wish i could say jars but i will only need one:joy:

Im having a bad photo day, it is what it is

That cheesy one is an awesome expression

Just wondering did you bring manganese into the picture. Reason I ask is because I had similar leaf appearance last year and applied the manganese (foxfarm) soil drench and they came out of it as yours are.

Very relatable Thanks! Those pesky AI and social media weed site critters will come back to bite you. Taking the time to figure it out on your own is what every grower should strive for!

Thanks yes your probably right, most micros got locked out and most likely mn as well. Mn, zinc and iron lockout looks pretty similar to me except i didn't have too many brown spots, only some edges of the yellow/white leaves

They got blasted with too much potassium which maybe also hindered mg and ca

The total overwatering probably blocked everything else

I didnt give mn specifically but the wormicompost tea has a good amount of this as you can see from the labtest of the wermicompost i used

I agree if possible we should try to fix it our selves it's absolutely the best way to learn :ganjalove: I could've asked for help but i can be a bit pigheaded sometimes:pig_face::joy:

I shot from the hip - NOT Mn! When you mentioned brown spots, zinc, iron it made me go look. I don't retain much and research is mostly for my immediate need. So many grows it all blurs. . . .

Yes i also have to check, luckily it doesn't happen so often that i remember how every lockout or toxicity looks :joy:

When in doubt, Flush and get your soil right is always my pat answer.

I used to flush before in conventional growing systems but every info i find online says never to flush living soil, so im riding through this one for now

I,ve not had too much problems learning conventional growing, living soil has made me feel like i was born again:joy: learning everything from scratch

I have refused myself from buying any nute bottles here in Thailand and im trying many natural Recipes and hoping i will succeed eventually

Thanks for the tips anyway its all enlightening :ganjalove:
