Squirrels Tail Lime ( Hang Karok Manao )

This season’s early planting of lemon leaning squirrels tail landrace cultivar

Seeds from Prempavee

I did loose a few as im busy building an organic farm and my focus is everywhere atm :exploding_head:

Enjoy my beautiful hancrafted ganja cage:rofl: your welcome to make fun of it, it’s just what i found around my wife’s house to keep the puppies from killing them

I have a new phone and i dont know how to add pics properly yet:sweat_smile:

They are growing in my own made living soil, first they didn’t like it, probably way too strong but now one suddenly took of like a rocket.

The last pic i have only 30% living soil mix with landsoil

Yes if they survive the rain is good to plant them before! This is the Hang Krarok Mano, right? Squirrel Tail Lime is the translation but also called Squirrel Tail Lemon by most people. Those seeds are true pure Thai genetic they should resist the rain season but strong rain can be always tricky . First year I go out with umbrella to save some of them  and I stay under the rain with the umbrella on the plants instead of me :rofl::rofl: strong rain sometimes . About transplant usually they take a couple of weeks to begin being strong but when they start they very strong

Yes this is manao:+1: oh it’s lime not lemon, ok:+1:

:joy: :joy: 555 Only people who really love plants do that

These pots is intended for indica or hybrid bc i have electric close by, but planted these manao first, my plan is to take cuttings later for the farm. I’m hoping to keep males or store pollen for later in season

Yes i hope my roof is strong enough for the big rain

Yes don’t worry, we have been calling them Squirrel Tail Lemon so many times. Translation is always tricky

Managed to plant three in the farm today

The plants suffered the same as me in the heat but I think they’ll pull through

These holes were amended with cowshit, rice husk and charcoal couple months ago. I’m very surprised by how fast nature ate everything but the charcoal, only some white mycelium i think was left

I mixed in some extra husk and the top of the hole i mixed in some home made living soil mix that was made with cococoir as base. very exited to see how long they can go before adding nutes

Some leaves from a teak tree saving them from the scorching sun

Clean very well the grass around or they will steal the food to your plants

You can choose to eradicate them or cut or smash and cover to suffocate them with mulch

:smiling_face_with_tear: Grass activist will hate me now..

Yes ok it probably will root again

Will cut some grass and add it as mulch

Thanks for the tip Prem :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Thought i keep track of the daily growth bc she is taking off:rocket:

Today she is 86 cm. She is probably planted too early in season and after i take clones she might become food for the other plants:sweat_smile:

She is being attacked by spider mites that have spread from her neighbor an Okra plant

I think the massive attack shows the disadvantage of keeping them under a tarp/roof. The rain will normally help them keep the population down

So i think i will order some neem oil

Or maybe someone have another remedy or suggestion?

Nothing you can do against Spider mites, aside prevention of course. Some people in my group some time ago proposed Napalm but it turned out they survived that too..

You need to improve airflow to avoid / prevent them

Anyway as they are small plants you can clean by hand leaf by leaf .. the spider mites do not kill the plant

555 resistent to napalm as well:rofl:

Yes the airflow is bad in the garden, neighbors have big trees and houses are very close

I have fought them a lot indoors, and i agree 100% on airflow, low temperature can also slow them down, spray off with water

I have found help in controlling them with ladybugs before, but maybe not so easy outdoors

It also helped a lot with a mix of neem oil emulsified with organic dishwash soap, but i have never been able to eradicate them totally

I will try to start clean by hand :sob:

I know the feelings.. I think there is no grower that never had spider mites nightmares :joy::rofl:

So todays measure is 89cm= growth 4cm

It’s not a lot but I’m exited bc it’s homemade soil and i didn’t even know if it would work at all

I won’t update every day but i will try to measure it and give update if it surpasses 4cm

Ps. Very nice being able to look at the main thread while writing a post. Great work being done to this app guys thank you:folded_hands:

Last one hit the soil today

I’m digging the holes pretty deep, don’t know if it’s necessary. This time i added trichoderma and humic/fulvic acid as well to see if it can bounce up faster from the shock

I had to switch away from the blue spraynozles and install a valve i can close 100%

And last an update for living soil growth rate

Today she increased to 5 cm a day

 the little dog seems to enjoy very much. Generally you don’t need to go too deep on the holes, especially in rain season you may want to raise the soil instead. That :ganja: she look very happy too

Haha yes she enjoys soil digging a lot, she likes to lay down where i want to dig

Ok hope i didn’t make a water tank:sweat_smile: maybe i’ll take clones and replant them while building soil up a bit.

It’s my first year in this farm so i don’t even know if this location is suitable or gonna flod later

Thanks for the tip, appreciated :+1:
