Here in California, Tyson's Cannabis sold at a top shelf price and was not very good, lower mid-grade at best.
Checking weed maps today, I don't see the Tyson brand available in any SoCal dispensaries anymore.
In Amsterdam the shop has high prices, I think the most expensive amongst those that I visited, but also quality is high, is crowded and customers them happy
The Tyson flower sold in CA was indoor grown in Palm Springs. I'm not sure if he's still growing out there?
After smoking top shelf indoor (710 Labs, Blem, CAM, Fig Farms) for over 11 years, I switched and now prefer only the fuller high of Sun Grown flowers.
I think will be nice to have the flowers that are grown by himself. I see he does grow in his terrace. 
But I think he seel too much for make possible. So probably depends on the growers the brand has on contract in the different areas.
There is no commercial grow that can beat homegrown, or at least is more rare. Maybe that's also the secret of Amsterdam. Because is illegal to grow the coffeeshops there they are frequently obliged (they have no other choice) to buy from hidden small home growers..
If you ever have the chance go to a coffeeshop somewhere else than Amsterdam if you didn't already did that.
Amsterdam is nice and lovely but you also must check the local coffeeshops in smaller city's if you have the chance.
You can have maybe max 5 grams,not like Amsterdam,they are more stricter 
But the weed is very good and not so pricy
In the 90's we went many many times to those shops.in Belgium where I lived it was 30 min drive with the car and you was in Holland.
We hopped from shop to shop to stock up on supplies,it was such a fun time.
We went mostly to Maastricht but they have the weed pas now.
It means you can't enter a coffeeshop in Maastricht of you don't live in the Netherlands ,it's since 2012 unfortunately
We went to other cities aswel like Eindhoven , Rotterdam, Tilburg,Nijmegen, and I totally recommend Tilburg and especially Nijmegen.
They have very good shops with small prices for complete bangers.
The dreadlock,jetset t kunstje are all very nice shops in Nijmegen
We always smoked in the car on our way,we smoked in the shop,we bought space muffins and ate them and we smoked again on our way home.
Those muffins where always very strong,we bought them in the dreadlock.

Yes, I totally agree. I was in Maastricht for a while and what you say is true to me. Even Amsterdam has his hidden gems. Let's map those worry and less famous places here
