Out of curiosity, do those pistils stay pink when dried, or do they turn brown like normal?

They turned brownish red. Really nothing special that stood out, Smelled like Maple syrup.

Yes when they dry nothing. But some people they contain anthocyanins. That’s good if eat them raw in the salad
