We are THCT – The House Catania, an Italian association and community project based in Catania, Sicily.
THCT was created with a simple idea: to help build a more informed, open and responsible cannabis culture in Italy.
We are interested in everything surrounding the cannabis world: the plant itself, its history, cultivation culture, genetics, cannabinoids, terpenes, research, responsible use, legislation and the experiences of people who have been part of this community for years.
Through our social channels we create educational and cultural content, challenge stereotypes and misinformation, and try to encourage a more mature conversation around cannabis. We also believe strongly in connecting with other associations, growers, enthusiasts, consumers and cannabis-related projects from Italy and abroad. That is one of the main reasons we joined this community: to meet people, exchange knowledge, learn from others and hopefully build new connections and collaborations. We are always happy to discover new perspectives, cultivation experiences, genetics, projects and stories from the cannabis community.
I'm very happy to have you here! Thank you so much and welcome! Is very interesting if you can show us how is the way to legally access ganja in Italy.
We would be very happy to explain how legal access to cannabis works in Italy. It is one of the topics we deal with every day at THCT, especially helping people understand the legal and medical pathway, prescriptions, pharmacies, and how the system works in practice. At the same time, our vision goes beyond the medical side. Our goal is to promote a 360-degree cannabis culture: more open, informed, responsible, and free from stigma.
We are interested in the plant as a whole — its culture, history, genetics, cultivation, terpenes, cannabinoids, research and responsible use. We also believe that people should have access to clear information about self-cultivation wherever it is legally possible, especially for those who have the opportunity and conditions to grow for themselves responsibly.
We can prepare a dedicated topic for the community explaining the Italian situation in a simple way: what is currently allowed, how patients can legally access medical cannabis, how pharmacies and prescriptions work, and also the main legal limits and debates around cultivation in Italy.
It would also be very interesting to compare the Italian system with other countries and learn from the experiences of growers, patients, consumers and associations from around the world.
Of course! We’ll start working on it over the next few days and prepare the topic properly so it can be useful and interesting for the whole community.
