Plant intelligence and consciousness by Professor Stefano Mancuso

Plant awareness of its environment, how it scans its surrounding and can detect a pole to grip and related or unrelated plant already on it, how it can learn behaviours.

Fascinating.

This so cool to see that even science can prove they are alive and self aware.

In my wifes garden i have noticed that pumpkins every time they grow towards a tree or pole to climb, i thought it was the roots that could sense of feel where the tree is.

This study proves it goes beyond even that, they sense in the air somehow

I bet most ganja farmers talk to their plants? Do you ?

I have allways done

Getting older I've noticed i'm speaking to myself more as well :joy:

Thanks for sharing

Definetly alive. Do don't feel weird that so many people think that everything is dead?

When I watched the way a plant can detect another one and differentiate its behaviour if they are related or not the first thing that came to my mind is one of my grow where in a tiny 4x2 grow tent an Acapulco Gold ended up colonising the whole tent (I supercropped it to manage its height and it ran between the other 2 plants: an OG Kush and a Jamaican Pearl).

The Acapulco ended up yielding 248g and the 2 other ones were like inhibited by its massive presence (OGK 118g and JP 78g).

Ok so I'm the only one speaking to my plants :joy:

yes they somehow sense their surroundings to grow around other plants. Maybe they can see just as they can recieve light. Now that is s decent yield in a 4x2:flexed_biceps:

Yes Prem it's weird, many people think everything is chemical reactions and this planet is just rock

Gaia is alive :globe_showing_americas::green_heart:

Well I talk to myself you know, so I imagine they enjoy the talk too :slight_smile:

I averaged 140g/plant in a 4x2 just supercropping and fimming to see how the plants reacted (and some defoliation to avoid humidity problems due to density in such a small superficy), it's really within every grower's reach with some reading :wink:
