In this topic I will begin to post in chronological order all main events that have made the Prempavee 1st Ganja Cup manifesting
This way everybody interested can came here and see why we make it and everything important that is happened and can learn how to contribute and participate.

Thai Health Minister to fix the covid epidemic take an emergency resolution and remove all plants and mushrooms from the Narcotics list
The reason is that under prohibitions is impossible to use them as medicine and is also impossible to study and research them in Universities, but the Thai traditional medicine is based on herbs and other natural remedies, so the only way to properly address the health emergency is to remove them from the Yellow List
So he stated that plants and mushrooms are living beings and cannot be classified as drugs that by definition are man made not alive substances
So that day was not only the Ganja that have been freed but also Kratom, and other plants, herbs and mushrooms (even the mushrooms selling was not allowed).
Ganja (cannabis) was the most famous that whent viral on media and people. Thai government to show his resolution was serious immediately freed all prisoners related and give out 1 million of ganja plants for free for everybody in Thailand. They also publicly told to the police to do not bother anymore people for ganja
Also to collect votes they made a lot of propaganda explaining how this liberalization was going to be beneficial for so many farmers that currently live in Red Zone (poor) Economical Areas of Thailand as many of this areas have become poor because the prohibitions imposed by the USA and the farmers lost their main income
So hundreds of thousand have rushed to grow indoors, outdoors, greenhouses, the opened shops and so on
Growing and selling ganja or kratom now was not different from growing and selling tomatoes or rice
Prempavee farm is located in Phon Sawan district that is in the center of the triangle between Sakhon Nakhon , Mukdahan and Nakhon Phanom that in the 60s and the 70s was one of the mayor, and most respected for quality, producer and exporter of Thai Stick
So because of my favorable geographical position I decided to begin my adventure with ganja too

Prempavee Farm is operative now and in her area there are thousands of ganja farms mostly run by traditional farmers that they grow landraces
In main time in the cities many Ganja Shops (dispensaries) have open and they sell so much ganja , mostly illegally imported from California or from small indoors that emerged from the previously hidden situation of the black market
Many people complain and blame this situation, but I feel that was normal to happen as the other crops from new farmers and outdoors they was not ready
The problem have begun when the outdoor growers harvested and did not found the market receptive to their products
So many local farmers despite beautiful ganja flowers they was not able to sell because the dispensaries in the cities they was interested on indoors only
So many of my friends and neighbors they had to trash away their harvest or selling out at a price that was much lower than production costs
That time also in Phuket they announce a Cannabis Cup with 1 million baht price award. I wanted to enter the competition with my flowers but they rejected my entries as they was accepting only indoors
Why here in Thailand, the land of sun, they accept only indoors? I’m an outdoor grower how I can promote my products from me and other growers like this?
So I decided to make my own competition, and was like this that is born the PREMPAVEE 1ST GANJA CUP

So we edited a declaration:

Redesign Standards for Outdoor Organic Ganja
We feel the need to write new Standards to determine Quality of Outdoor Organic Ganja
Are many the parameters that we want to rediscuss.
Number one the density of the bud. In the Cali System the more dense is the bud more high is considered the Quality.
Same it goes for Smell and THC percentage that are generally considered more high percentage = more high quality.
We don’t agree with this metric
In our sub-tropical environment those Characteristics are not necessarily considerable meters for quality as in fact the more airy buds are usually the more healthy and some of the best ganjas may have almost no scent or very delicate and same some low in compounds Strain may be preferable for some users and cases and still they can be considered Top Shelf as same of their more “stronger” sisters.
Another important point is about the idea that quality means always the same:
for us the top Quality is connected with difference and uniqueness. If you share feelings about this main concept , you are welcome to participate and contribute to design together new Standards for determine Quality of Outdoor Organic Ganja.

Note: this documents they are the first draft of guidelines we ever wrote. So many things have changed from there as we have evolved with the experience that we matured in the time.

May 2023 - The First Tournament (ONLY SUNGROW)
The first Tournament was an Online tournament open only to Outdoors Organic Minded flowers

FIRST TOURNAMENT May 2023
10 Growers – from Thailand send to Prempavee farm 20 gr. of trimmed, dry and cured buds of their best Outdoor Organic Grow. Bud of at least 3 x 2 cm (will be used for the lab test) entry fee 1.500 bath. (For this edition, it will be possible to send samples also from non-growers, like dispensary and users that they have gotten the buds from trackable sources. It will be possible to send more than one strain, but will have to pay the registration fee for each strain. For each paid fee they will be able to get the tests results certificate of their flowers, 10 samples of 0.5 gr. to judge, Merchandise Gift and in case of winning the related awards)
10 Ganja Lovers – from any country located in places where is legal to receive by post Cannabis Samples containing high levels of THC entry fee 1.000 (this group will only judge the sample, and they will get 10 samples of 0.5 gr. + one merchandise gift)
1 Committee – at Prempavee Farm we will run some test of THC, CBD, CBG levels of the samples. We will be in charge to verify that all the samples are in the same kind of packaging and anonymously packaged, we will be shipping and take care of communication.
Will have only one unified Category that will be named “BEST BUD” following the Standards of Quality described

You can see that here we are still using the term “strain” lately replaced by “cultivar name” and also our initial logo was different from now
The first group of tournaments we had a Guardian Animal Spirit for each Tournament. The guardian of the 1st Tournament was the Elephant
We called the Wyyan and we wrote this introduction poetry to the participants tho honor them

Here in this photo made at my shop you can see me with Kriang Krai , a traditional farmer from the mountains, having on of the first meeting we have ever had about the Prempavee 1st Ganja Cup organization
Curiosity: at the time we called “Prempavee 1st Ganja Cup” because was the first time I made something like this. Later on during the many chats in my group the name have been shortened to 1st Ganja Cup
during that meeting we was mostly talking about how Thai ganja looks like and how we can educate people to recognize it as a good product for smokers.Here in this other photo you can see a drawing that Kriang Krai has brought to my farm for create educational content
June 2023 - 2nd Tournament (ONLY SUNGROW)
During the first Tournament for the samples we have used small glass Jars, but we had some problems with them. Even the packaging was carefully done few of them they arrived broken to the Judge. So I contacted a distributor of Grove Bags in Thailand and they provided for us this bags like this:
